I’m easily confused, my memory is poor, I make a lot of mistakes. Growing up female in a conservative religion was plenty. I didn’t need any special treatment or training to become a perfect target for predators. I can’t always tell when I’m being made fun of or when someone is being mean or whether someone is joking or not. Growing up undiagnosed, there were many times I wasn’t aware that I was the butt of the joke until later.
